Past Present and Future
RESOURCES
Oral History Toolkit
Working with stroke survivors, carers and volunteers the ambition was to encourage the participants to learn new skills and develop the confidence to interview stroke survivors, carers and practitioners. This process needed additional time, to develop trust and the opportunity for everyone to take part and ask the questions they wanted to ask.
Intergenerational Learning
The intergenerational learning brought together stroke survivors, carers, practitioners, volunteers and 10 year 5 children from Broadway Juniors School. The group came together to firstly challenge stereotypes around aging and disability. They explored the concepts of disability and stroke as well as intergenerational learning throughout. The group undertook Dementia Friends training as part of a shared learning experience.
